Le 9\u00e8me colloque international de l\u2019Association Fran\u00e7aise pour l\u2019Arch\u00e9ologie du Verre (AFAV) <\/strong>se tiendra \u00e0 Lyon du 25 au 27 novembre 2026<\/strong> et portera sur le th\u00e8me : Le verre dans les pratiques fun\u00e9raires romaines de l\u2019Empire romain<\/em>. Cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement a pour objectif d\u2019examiner la place et le r\u00f4le du verre, notamment de la vaisselle, dans les rituels fun\u00e9raires romains entre le Ier et le IVe si\u00e8cle apr. J.-C. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les communications se d\u00e9rouleront les mercredi, jeudi et vendredi matin \u00e0 la Maison Internationale des Langues et des Cultures (MILC), 35 rue Raulin Lyon 7e. Les repas du midi seront pris sur place (payants, sur inscription individuelle sur Hello Asso). Le vendredi midi, nous vous proposons une exp\u00e9rience gastronomique dans la plus grande institution lyonnaise, la Brasserie George, avec menu unique (payant, sur inscription individuelle).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Le jeudi soir aura lieu la visite priv\u00e9e du mus\u00e9e arch\u00e9ologique Lugdunum suivie d’un cocktail d\u00eenatoire offert. Le vendredi apr\u00e8s-midi est r\u00e9serv\u00e9 \u00e0 la visite de l’amphith\u00e9\u00e2tre des Trois Gaules en pr\u00e9sence de l’arch\u00e9ologue en charge des fouilles (gratuit, sur inscription individuelle). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Depuis 2025, l\u2019Afav porte Le PASS-RENCONTRES<\/a> ! Ce dispositif de bourse est destin\u00e9 aux \u00e9tudiants en Master et en Doctorat travaillant sur le verre arch\u00e9ologique et historique<\/strong>. Il prend la forme d\u2019un soutien financier ponctuel<\/strong> permettant de couvrir les frais de participation aux Rencontres et Colloque de l\u2019 AFAV<\/strong> (d\u00e9placements, h\u00e9bergement, inscription, etc.), pour un montant maximal de 500\u20ac (remboursements sur factures). The 9th International Congress of the French Association for Archaeology of GLASS (AFAV)<\/strong> will be held in Lyon from 25 to 27 November 2026<\/strong> and will focus on the theme: Glass in Roman Funerary Practices in the Roman Empire<\/strong>. This event aims to examine the place and role of glass, particularly tableware, in Roman funerary rituals between the 1st and 4th centuries AD<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The papers will be presented on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday morning<\/strong> at the Maison Internationale des Langues et des Cultures (MILC)<\/strong>, 35 rue Raulin, Lyon 7th arrondissement<\/strong>. Lunches will be served on site, at an additional cost and subject to individual registration on HelloAsso. On Friday lunchtime, we are offering a gastronomic experience at Lyon\u2019s most renowned institution, Brasserie Georges<\/strong>, with a set menu, at an additional cost and subject to individual registration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Thursday evening, you are invited to a private tour of the Lugdunum archaeological museum<\/strong>, followed by a cocktail reception. Friday afternoon will be devoted to a visit to the Amphitheatre of the Three Gauls<\/strong>, in the presence of the archaeologist in charge of the excavations. This visit is free of charge, subject to individual registration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2025, AFAV has been offering the PASS-RENCONTRES<\/a><\/strong>. This grant scheme is intended for Master\u2019s and PhD students working on archaeological and historical glass. It provides one-off financial support to help cover the costs of attending the AFAV Rencontres and Colloquium, including travel, accommodation, registration fees, etc., up to a maximum amount of \u20ac500<\/strong>, reimbursed upon presentation of receipts.
